Cone Crusher VS Impact Crusher

In related construction projects such as infrastructure, the amount of crushed stone and gravel is quite high. The choice of the crushing equipment mainly depends on the characteristics of the raw materials and the user’s yield requirements.

Under normal circumstances, cone crusher and impact crusher equipment are more commonly used in the crushing of medium and fine sections, but there are certain differences in the scope of application, investment costs, and grain size of the finished product.

Cone crusher is mainly suitable for crushing high hardness and highly corrosive materials such as granite or river pebble, and impact crusher is mainly suitable for medium and low hardness and poor corrosive materials such as bluestone.

When purchasing equipment, there is a certain difference in the price of the two. The initial investment of the cone crusher is higher than the impact crusher, and the later maintenance cost of the impact crusher is higher than the cone crusher.

The cone crusher is different from the impact crusher in terms of grain size and powder content. For coarse crushing, a jaw crusher is used as an example. The cone crusher is broken in the middle and fine section. The crushed stone granules produced are not uniform but have a small powder content. However, the counterattack crushed stone has a good grain shape but higher powder content than cone crusher.

Due to the advantages and disadvantages of cone crushing and counter-breaking, if the production line is large and long-term production, it is recommended to choose a cone crusher as a medium-fine crushing section. If the production line has a small output and a short production cycle, it is recommended to use an impact crusher.
